Ton Kwen Temple, the real Lanna Thai Style temple.
Thailand is the one of the most famous places in Asia that has many temples if we wouldn’t count the area like in Bagan in Myanmar and Lao. Lanna or Northern part of Thailand is also one of the places that most of the temple lovers. Chiang Mai is also one of them. The land full of forests, smiling people as well as the graceful architect which you could see from the temples spreading in its area. Many of them as the main attractions as you could visit in Chiang Mai old town. In this blog we are going to tell you about one of the old temple called “ Ton Kwen Temple” which is the real Lanna Art style. Located in Hangdong area not to far from Chiang Mai Night Safari as well as the beautiful Royal Flora Ratchapruke Park. This temple has 2 names as some local called “ Ton Kwen Temple” or Indrawas Temple”. It is the only example a real Lanna which stand still await for your visit . It is also listed as historic and cultural site and before preserved by the Assosiation of Siamese Architects. It is also an outstanding example of the main building in the Royal Flora Ratchapruke for the Hor Kham Luang ( The Golden Royal Design) as the center of the park too.
This temple could visit on the same route to Doi Kham Temple, Chiang Mai Night Safari or combine in the plan trip to travel to the southside of Chiang Mai Area.
