Pha Dork Siew Waterfall , Doi Inthanon National Park.
One of our blog had written before about Doi Inthanon National Park, today we would like to introduce one of the waterfall in the national park area which you could enjoy more for the lovely atmosphere and the forest area. Also you could do the exercise by walking through the forest and you could stop by the Pha Dork Siew Waterfall. The waterfall is half way to the top of the peak of Doi Inthanon, the highest peak of Thailand. You have a choice to walk down from the starter to the waterfall and then to the Red Karen tribe village , Mae Klang Luang or you could also walk from the bottom ( Red Karen tribe Village in Mae Klang Luang) to the top. However we do suggest to walk down is better.
The trip starts from the top, you have o contact the local guide from Red Karen Tribe as the local guide to lead you on the way walking. ( This is important to have the local guide from the Red Karen Village as it is the rule of the village also it is the income for them and the family.) Walking from the top to the waterfall and the village is more easier than walking up. On the way, you could enjoy the trees and nature on the walk way. Some part of the walk way , you are going to pass the waterfall area with some basin which you could enjoy swimming to cool down for a bot before continue the walk to the village.
Beautiful step rice fields on the way are something interesting to see. ( The view of the rice fields depend on the season that you visit. You could see the green rice fields or golden fields or the empty fields with the straws after the harvesting season. )
Closes by the village , you are going to walk pass Arabica coffee fields which belong to the tribe by the King Royal Project that suggested and help them for marketing. Then after reaching the Red Karen Village called ” Baan Mae Klang Luang” , you could visit the villagers and say hello to them as well. Moreover it is the time for you to enjoy fresh coffee and enjoy with the scenery of the village and cool breeze as well.
Not only the walking trail that you could enjoy with the scenery for the forest and the waterfall. You could also spending the night in the village and hide away from the busy life in the big city as well.
